Time Travel { Some poetry }

Time Travel { Some poetry }

Trying to fit
One million words into one beat
A little bit too much if you ask me
But in seems that despite our lack of words
What we want to remain unheard is hidden
Inside our compressed speech

As if the words we use let us travel back through time
But we use no close despite these blurred lines
We go back and hunt hints in the past
But it’ll never quite last longer than a flash

We are deciphering between microscopic differences
My life has become a delicate balance of not letting the mistress’
Uncover, each other
The way I discover
Who I am, with the reflection of who I want to be
Not entirely separate but these fractions framed on walls behind
Do not let us forget and forever remind
That we have cut preacher’s atoms a part at times

Magazines
They’re a futuristic thing
Media death
That’s what all the blank bidden sing
Armed rivalries, torn binaries
Might as well flash forward to the words we will say
Since we only care about how what we said will impact
Our phrases the next day

Now, now, media media
How, how, we need ya, we need ya
Bow, bow, you rule us, you rule us – like a serpentine
Vow, vow, you’d fool us, you’d fool us- like a time machine

Did you know they didn’t have insecurities in the past
Before the internet?
Did you know that girls thought they were fat
Only because of the internet?
Did we let ourselves become prone to the unknown
Mixed message, I vote no
It’s only what we want to see, it’s what the TV show’s
Sadness and confidence existed our died before the extinction of time
We don’t need a subliminal message to compare that our vicious consumerism is where
We lost our thoughts

Now, now, media media
How, how, we need ya, we need ya
Bow, bow, you rule us, you rule us – like a serpentine
Vow, vow, you’d fool us, you’d fool us- like a time machine

Because words in the past or words in the future
Things we’ll read, things we’ll know
It’s just a collection of clothes we’ve worn
Thoughts we’ve had
Emotions we forgot to show
Maybe a little synthesized to the movement of time and how our thoughts transport quicker
But a television programs brain only lingers after our own
If we don’t like what we see on TV
Maybe it’s because we don’t like what we think
And maybe it’s because we don’t have the ink
To express before we undress the leaders on the screen

But can I just say Wow, wow we didn’t really ever see
That the words the magazines read are the words we want to hear
If we just wanted them to disappear
They would be gone, gone
Past past flaws, thoughts repeated
Recycled to resemble something quicker than keen
But how how we forget that it’s already the cycle we’ve already seen, now we’re just seeing it in 3D and on our samsung galaxy

Now, now, media media
How, how, we need ya, we need ya
Bow, bow, you rule us, you rule us – like a serpentine
Vow, vow, you’d fool us, you’d fool us- like a time machine
