A high-achieving professional decides to ditch her Tinder date to explore a new passion.

In The Pink was a highly collaborative project from conception to execution, the final film is an amalgamation of our team’s creative vision and efforts.

From crushing dragonfruits in the streets of Vancouver to devouring an entire blueberry pie in the bathtub, In The Pink is experimental, feminist and absurd.

LIGHTS ON THE ROOF ART INSTALLATION 2017

Klara Wise and I, after receiving a grant from Lights on the Roof for their upcoming festival to celebrate food health, create a public art installation.

We built on small tent that was a cube shape. The tent had neutral lighting, a warm environment, pinececones, and other homey scents that lead to a calm and safe atmosphere. There was a projector station where people inside the tent can create a piece in their own intimacy and comfort, while what they made and drew was projected outside of the tent for the whole festival to see. Our goal was to look at themes of communication between individuals between private and public spaces, and exploring the idea of new approaches to communication and visibility.

EXPERIMENTAL APPROPRATION PIECE 2017

roleplay. (womehdia p.2)

Roleplay looks at the representation of women in relationships in some popular flicks, focusing on women that say no and then are manipulated/”seduced”/forced into a yes.

EXPERIMENTAL APPROPRATION PIECE 2017

did you hear mom go? (womehdia p.1)

Art film about the forgotten dying mothers in famous films.

PERFORMANCE ART FILM 2017

can I interview you?

After sitting down with folks and asking if I can interview them and then saying nothing, and remaining in my chair I wait for the project to end when they get up, leave or turn off the camera. Throughout this time, a narrative is formed of love, paranoia and stillness.

This film was presented during the Festival of Recorded Movement in 2017.
